Bikes for traveling around the world!

Kuk calls his bike as "Ahaniza", it's from Hindi which means "Nothing is forever."
Young calls her bike as "Honey" which spoken for lover like darling.
Although these are small and old but have traveld with such a havey loads through Asia and Europe for 13500 KM.
So we're not sure whether they were lucky or not having such extra ordinary owners.

The last riding along the west coast of Malaysia, in the South East Asia.
Deviating from the main road to see the Ocean, we met this road, heading towards a jungle

Yunnan province in China.

We couldn't make the way of more than 30~40kms because of the mountainous feature. There were the days of peddling, even had occasions 30kms of the uphill not even once of plain nor the downhill and 90kms of the downhill all day long. Eventually we had to take a bus to escape from being confined in the most remote countryside during the Chunjie (Chinese new year, one of the biggest Chinese's national holiday).
Photo's just before getting ready to board.

The village 'Kong no', We were heading to, is used to called a mysterious village by locals.
Although it was the winter season but I thought that people, possibly, could die from the red heat.
We were supposed to board on a small boat the next early morning, but we couldn't stay in the village. Because no place to get rest at all, we were surrounded by countless locals who had lots of curiosity.
On the way out, we laid under a tree shade, avoiding the red sun. The sky was spinning, my loving horse; 'Ahaniza' was resting too.
Kuk was nearly died from unknown fever and terrible headache after visiting the mysterious village. And it took him 10days to get over it.

A patrol station on the way to the Huahin in the southern Thailand.
One of the best things to ride in Thai is that you can have fantastic icy fruity drink on the road. If you see a patrol station on the road, just take a rest.
¡®Do not push yourself too hard, especially in the hot countries!!¡¯
We learned it in Laos. ^^

We got the final destiny of the day after hard riding under the red Sun.
Disappointingly, there was no accommodation at all. There was no way, but hitch hiking.  We found lorry drivers were most helpful for us. The lorry had a plenty of space for our heavily loaded bikes.
Eeeeyaho! Speed up!!

Unelectrified remote village, Rampur.
After the Sunset, It just looked like midnight. There was nothing to do without light so we went to bed at 7pm. It was the longest night we¡¯ve ever had.

Himalayas¡¯ land, Nepal.
We rode bikes from the west to the east of Nepal. There was the Himalayas all the way of our journey. On the way to Tansen to meet a Korean doctor.

Kabir(above picture) and Root are the representative deserts in Iran. And Kabir is the salt desert. There is a salty river through the desert. It's really salty. When we got tap water from a local school we couldn't swallow it. Have you ever tried salty tea?

Riding towards the Ararat Mountain on which the Noah¢¥s Ark arrived in the bible.
We had to get through a huge mountain so the bikes were carriages and we were just like horses and cows pulling the carriages.

Capadokia formed by extremely strange, fabulous and fantastic rocks and stones, one of the famous landscapes in Turkey. On the way to the Capadokia, we pitched the tent on the back yard in a Police station.

The village of the Ceramic, Avanos. Placing our tent on the beautiful riverside in Avanos, we stayed there for three days.  We had a wonderful time there apart from tomcats. Kuk fought with the tomcats every day. ^^
Dogs were pain in the neck, so Cats are now and what else could it be in the future?

There was no plan to visit to Antalia. We randomly selected a place to go on the map and it was Antalia, one of the famous touristic cities on the Mediterranean coast.

We¡¯ve been on the way for more than one and a half years. The bike looks old and worn out a lot now.

¡¯Men must have a lot of nerve and women must have fidelity¡¯, Kuk¡¯s mum used to say.
A mountain appeared toward sunset but we pushed our bikes onto the mountain, thinking about that we could pitch the tent if there was no accommodation. For God¡¯s sake, we met Micko, a local handsome young man and his family.

We entered Hungary via Bulgaria and Serbia-Montenegro a long the Danube River. From Hungary, we could ride on the bicycle lane and there were excellent campsites.

It has been for 45days since riding along the Danube River.
For camping all the time, we looked like homeless.
Passau, My dearest friend, Meike was living in. We could hardly meet her though.
We meet her dramatically and stayed in her house 20days, recovering the fatigue of travel. It was a perfect place. We always thank her for it.

I didn¡¯t expect that I could review the collection of the pictures that I had taken during the travel.  There were only few pictures for the bikes.

I spent quite, a lot of time to make this page.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. ^^
