We'd been home country over past 6 years.

We'd been home country(South Korea) over past 6 years.

We had trip to South Korea and Japan this summer, it's been more than six years since we left for cycling around the world.

" Can we possibly be back? "

I still clearly remember that leaving day, so many ideas had crossed over us as we saw Inchon(a city on the west coast of South Korea) harbor fading away. But finally, we came back after such a long jouney.

According to our basic plan, we would come back home permanantely after travelling around the world. But, somehow, our future life might be strongly destined for the UK and we made our next base camp in London. In fact, one of the main reasons for visiting home this time was to complete a visa matter which had been dragging on, in the past several years and now we feel grateful about the good result.

To be honest, we hadn't even mentioned to our family our plan, and just left then mailed an email we were travelling and seeking their forgiveness. Because we couldn't tell them for some complicated reasons, I'm still pretty sure if we had let them know in advance we might have been persuaded to give up our plan. For these reasons, we felt apprehensive before visiting home this time. It seemed not such a simple matter to be reunited with families and relatives, because maybe there's a huge gap between us. But, "what are family for," we could melt ourselves into them as soon as we get there without any difficulties.

To get to the UK, it took 2 years passing through 21 countries in Asia and Europe. How could I describe that marvellous(strange) feeling, 2 years' time and space just covered by one long flight. It was a feeling like you'd been in a magic box, then once you get out, you found yourself in a totally different world: different people, language and different way of life, etc. Because, on coming to Europe we moved by land, day by day, country by country, everything changed gradually and slowly. But after an 11 hour long flight, the world which suddenly appeared front of us , made us very embarrassed for a while.

We spent the first week in Seoul and visited Daegu, Chinju and Busan(Southern Part) for the next 10 days, then came back to Seoul, and then made our way to Japan, then afterwards Osaka and Tokyo, coming back to London via Seoul again. I think this time we made the longest distance in the shortest period since we came out to see the world. Apparently, we are going to visit South Korea again in 2 years, have a wedding ceremony again with families and friends, and we need to do some more things which still remain undone.

"Why do we feel more comfortable at London even than in our home country"
There's one strange thing which I should confess that we'd been missing London during the journay in our home land and we felt more comfortable as we got back to London. That'd be the reason that London is the place where we'd selected on our own after our long journey and made great efforts to settle down here, so we might think London is our second home.

We are really appreciate all the people who have been watching our long journey and constantly eccouraging us .
We wish you all happiness.

Even though it was the first time we'd seen each other, there was no awkward atmosphere for we'd been already knowing each other through internet for more than two years. He started his long bicycle journey as we just had arrived in UK, then he took the similar route from South Korea to Europe.

We first met him in 2004 during the journey in Turkey and the relationship continued to Bulgaria. Then after 4 years, we met again in Osaka in Japan. Koshoke, who was a university student at that time, is now expecting to finish his graduate school and get a job.

Although this was the first time visiting Japan, we never felt out of place with Koshoke and his family's big welcome. They opened the door for us into Japan and there was no doubt, we could understand to Japan more, even though we weren't really ready to visit Japan.
